Wales Fertiliser Prices

Fertiliser prices in Wales for August show significant increases compared to August 2007. Figures for fertiliser were unavailable for June and July and therefore no comparison can be made month on month. However, prices have increased between 19% and 30% when compared to May prices, this amounts to increases of between £64/tonne and £105/tonne in three months.
Blended 20:10:10 has increased by £105/tonne - 29.6% since May to £460/tonne, this is almost three times as much as the average price of £162/tonne in August 2007. Granular 21:08:11 now averages at £438/tonne, 23.4% above May and £272/tonne above August last year. Blended 25:05:05 has increased £78/tonne - 23.9% between May and August and now averages at £405/tonne, almost £250/tonne above August 2007.
