The KPMG report was commissioned by the MDC to investigate the dairy market and to find out who was making what through the supply chain. It concluded that farmers were generally losing money, processors were not making much profit, and although supermarkets were making larger profits than in the past, they will still only making similar margins to those on other grocery sectors. The report recommended several themes of action, which the MDC is currently moving foward on.
