Milk Link has announced that it is to increase prices on its contracts in addition to introducing new contracts from 1 July - the overall impact of these changes would be an extra 0.5ppl.

A new manufacturing schedule will be launched with an increase in constituent values and a lifting of the price cap on butterfat payments introduced in April 2006. There will also be the opportunity for members to be able to choose between A&B pricing or an "old style" seasonality system.

In addition, there will be a Westcountry liquid schedule which will bring members into line with the existing London liquid contract. Milk Link state that the changes are in line with its strategy to give all members the opportunity to move onto market related contracts.
