Arla announces price increase

Arla Foods has announced a Partnership price increase of 1ppl from 1 April 2007.

The company has confirmed this is due to the majority of their customers agreeing to increase prices to reflect higher farm costs and the company is passing back to producers all monies recovered. Money already received in March will be paid out as part of the forward price from 1 April.

The company is also preparing the changes necessary to set up a designated Tesco supply group. The target date for these arrangements to be in place is August 2007.
