Net Cumulative Permanent Conversion of Direct Sale to Wholesale

Latest figures for the 2007/08 milk year continue to show a negative figure for net cumulative permanent conversion of direct sales quota to wholesale quota. This means that more wholesale quota is being permanently converted into direct sales quota than direct sales quota being converted into wholesale quota. Reasons for this include producers looking to cover direct sales production. In previous years, direct sales quota has been breached resulting in super levy.
